. Chris Wilder said he may have picked the wrong starting 11 also in hindsight and he also said we need some players in th JTW. I thought we played ok after the first 20 mins. Dominated play after that and created opportunity’s we just didn’t take. I’m just glad I haven’t to watch the cynicle time wasting stuff Bolton turned out. It was a case of the opposition scoring with the only chance they created. Well that’s how I saw it.
if he doesnt go in january he will in the summer its the only way chris is going to get sufficient funds to bring new players in and i believe chris is frustrated he cant bring more quality in and that this league has nothing to be fearful of is frustrating him even more hes an ambitious manager so its up to the board now to match his ambitions which personally i have doubts about
CW didn't spend all the budget he was allocated in the summer, so I'm not sure why he'd be frustrated now, or why we are so sure there are no funds available.
We're overachieving. We would all have been very happy to be 6th on the first day of the season, but now we are here we can see a chance of better things, a chance we didn't expect tbf, expectations are rising. We clearly need another couple of players in to give us some fresh legs, but when did anyone brought in in the JTW make a big difference? Clearly the boy wonder wont be going anywhere in January, but he wont be making an appearance for a while with Glandular Fever. It can take months. But that in itself is no reason for all the doubting imo. Its the same Wilder backed by the same board that have got us this far. I guess we'll see, starting Tuesday.
I felt the same but after about 20 minutes. We hadn't got one player who was really on his game and 2 or 3 really off it. If you look at the stats we absolutely mullered them even on the corner count, but I never really thought we were fully in control. There was no sharp passing or driving runs like we’re used to seeing, the ball seemed to be bouncing off players and getting away from them. The **** of a Ref didn’t help but he wasn’t the reason we lost.
But these things happen in football, Wilder needs to and will get to grips with the problem IF he gets the backing he deserves. I have to say that his latest interviews don’t fill me with much optimism that this’ll be the case, but maybe it’s my inherent lack of trust of our boards and owners and the feeling if there’s a way to feck up a good thing they’ll usually find a way.
Your lack of faith in the board is shared by many. Like I said. Chris Wilder sounded frustrated. Frustrated that his ambition won’t be matched. He said tonight he knows exactly what he wants to do in terms of transfers. That was fighting talk. I just hope McCabe is firmly in his corner.
Just listened to his interview I thought the frustration came from losing to Bolton if I'm honest he knows we are a way better team than them,I suppose how he said I know what I want to do in the transfer window could be construed that way ie frustrated he won't be allowed all the goodies he wants but I'm going with the former. He was spot on about madine I said on another thread how he bossed our back 3 today I gave him MOM wouldn't want him in our side tho. As for their goal hit nail on head, bash dint go with his man and I still can't see who's supposed to be marking madine as there was no one near him so piss poor all round from the defence
