I also suffer from this,it can happen on different fingers on different hands on different days,its never the same finger,my finger goes completely white,as white as you can imagine and its goes completely numb but hurts,I've had it several times over the part week and once you go into somewhere warm will just disappear, I've a feeling that my toes goes white as well but have never bothered taking off my shoes n socks in the cold to find out
Players wearing gloves? Only the goalie should wear them imo

I've never understood the problem some people have with players wearing gloves.

If it helps them to feel more comfortable and to concentrate on their game better then crack on.

Or is it simply a macho thing with some people?

Recently, in a snow storm, I saw a bloke wearing a tee shirt and shorts. Was I impressed with his blokiness? No, I just thought he was a nutter.

In the dim and distant past of my youth 59/60, when I played full back for the likes of Mullards and Rosegrove United, I used to love playing against a winger who wore gloves. It signified to me 'mard-arse', and I could take liberties without thought of retribution. A couple of man and ball tackles in the first ten minutes and it was job done, the rest of the afternoon was easy.

We were up just before Christmas and even the women were wearing shorts and vests! Two were sat opposite us in the pub and honest to God I did not know where to look.

I used to play for various teams in the Bacup League in the 60's and 70's.

I never came across anyone playing in gloves (except the goalies)

BUT, one one particularly freezing day we made the trek up to Bacup Rec in the knowledge that the game would be called off. Sure enough, the frozen, rutted pitch meant that we could retire to the pub.
On the way back to the car we say four blokes braving the arctic wind playing bowls in shirt sleeves.

Like I said, this WAS Bacup.

I once went out with a lass from Bacup, I don't think my todger has ever fully recovered... :O

I used to live with a lass in Bacup, never saw many asians around. It was back in the day though, maybe they're more 'accommodating' over there now.

I was in a pub a few weeks ago in Bacup and it is still largely homogeneous. Say it loud, I'm white and I'm proud! And Catholic and dance a lot...
