seeing as Rafa himself said we were down to getting our 4th th and even 6th choices - nope
and yes other clubs will get at least 1 or 2 of their 1st choices.. the ones that are in their most needed positions..... but not us like.

As long as this poisonous regime goes on, you have to ask, what's the point of it all...
i would say the top 6 will get their first 2nd choices
but the rest wont
hence why so many loans and free players for a lot of teams this season
the top 6 have an abundance of players and send loads out on loan
when carr was here we got the ones we wanted
at the moment we are jumping from payer to player
we have players wanting away
we have players we cant give away
we have dross
from when we backed rafa when we went down
unfortunatly he hasnt turned these into prem players which when we brought them we thought they had the potential
indeed some or many were prem players
they just havent improved enough for rafa
whch s a pity
virtually all teams will get 1 player or even 2 that is their 1st choice.
Don't believe he's had a first choice signing since he's been here. He's used to having the trust and enjoying the backing of club owners to shop around at more high end stores - you know the level that is necessary to have teams competing for CL titles and domestic cups.
As I've mentioned before, I live in Brighton.
At the start of the transfer window Chris Hughton publicly identified his targets.
Today Albion confirmed their 8th signing of the summer, breaking the club record for the third time this year.
So far only one of Hughton's original targets - Liam Moore - has not been signed and that is all down to Reading putting a stupid price on him.
The difference is that Brighton have an owner who is also a fan, knows what he is doing and can see the sense in investing a chunk of the Sky money in building a competitive team for the Premiership.
By the way, Tony Bloom made his millions as a professional gambler. Ashley fancies himself as a gambler. Maybe he can take some lessons from Bloom.
Ashley would never be a professional gambler. He is a gambler, an addictive one, a risk taker who while he is luckily winning thinks he is astute but his casino gambling tells the real truth. He throws good money after bad on his greedy selfish addictions and doesn't know the right way to invest to improve a situation.
His running of this club is a prime example and any one blaming Rafa for the situation while supporting Ashley is only showing their own ignorance of commercial business.
