AFC Notts County - would you bother?

I'd probably end up going to Arnold Town. I live in Donington now, but Calverton is where I'm from and I still feel like they're my local team.

Thats what's always bothered me about AFC Wimbledon. They've legally claimed all the history of the original Wimbledon - taking it from MK Dons. Not a problem with MK Dons not claiming it, but AFC aren't the original club, its not their history to claim.

The majority won't bother until a new club began to look like winning promotion to the football league, then you'd probably see most people return or replaced by new supporters and gates wouldn't be too far off what they are now (assuming we would still be playing somewhere close to the city center, a move could result in even fewer people bothering as it would feel even less the same club).

That's a good point. And what is a club if it isn't its history and heritage.

A very good question and I don't know the answer - yet.

Depends on the make up of the club, would they play in black and white, called the Magpies, etc ?

I may watch Basford United or Burton Albion now and again but my heart and soul just wouldn't be in it like it is/was for the Pies.

No. It wouldn't be Notts County.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm trying supporting another team at the moment, simply because i want to watch live football, but it just isn't the same. Meadow Lane is like home - and there's no place like home.
