If you Google Blue Lamp/Cast you will see that someone has boobed. They list Jack L Warner as the actor who played George Dixon and even have a picture of him. Unfortunately Jack L Warner is a Canadian actor who never went anywhere near Dock Green

Back to the original thread- IF Warne is serious about making a challenge to go straight back up and he’s shown that by paying £400,000 for Ladapo, then his defence deserves the same application for a decent centre half.

Don’t be held to ransom but don’t miss out on one the final piece of the jigsaw for the sake of another £50,000. How many players have we previously lost out on because of stubbornness over common sense?

Offer £50 more and they will ask for £100, offer £100 and they will ask for £200, get the idea ?
We’ve already increased the offer twice and they’ve yet to accept. Now it’s gone public what we’ve offered, no wonder Paul Warne is frustrated at lack of transfer activity.
£300K plus add-ons is a fair offer for this player, why pay over the odds for someone that in the main has only played in Non League.

Read some different reviews on this player, some say he’s decent, a ball player and others say his distribution is poor and when he has the ball he panics under pressure prone to one or two mistakes ( remind you of someone)
He could be a replacement for Semi or he could turn out a Manny Onariase.
Worth a gamble at £300K plus add-ons.

Paid more than £400K for Ladapo didn’t we?
Leyton Orient have had our valuation on the player, if they were going to sell last week he wouldn’t have played for them last week and took the risk of getting injured.
Someone is trying to up the final fee.

Unfortunately that is the wicked way of football in both buying and selling and we have just started to catch up with the system.It is clear the vendor wants the most they can,so we make a final offer with acceptance demand, yes or no.

It looks like we’ve made our final offer Bill, which is probably why the deal has not progressed as planned and has reached an impasse.
Could be the reason the club has bid for another CB.
Still think he’s worth a gamble at £300K plus add-ons, not a penny more though, walk away and try elsewhere.
Maybe some Championship players available on loan once their transfer window has closed.
