I have a nasty feeling that the Supreme Court ruling will go against Boris. There have been so many ‘establishment’ figures lining up against him and nobody arguing for his side, I will be surprised if the Court goes against the ‘Establishment’. I hope they don’t, though, because Boris is the only one offering any solution to the Brexit problem. Corbyn is now saying that he would hold a second referendum with the options of his deal (which he doesn’t have) or Remain. LibDems are now saying that if they are in power they will just revoke Article 50! Now whilst I believe that remaining in the EU would be best for the country, you really shouldn’t be ignoring half the electorate (slightly more than half) who voted Leave. Any ‘deal’, unless it is a ‘have your cake and eat it’ deal, is nowhere near as good as being in the EU and is not really leaving either, so the alternative is a no-deal Brexit. We won’t get a ‘have your cake and eat it’ deal, so realistically, it is either leave with no deal or remain. As I have said, although I believe Remain is best, the behaviour of the ‘remain’ side of Parliament has been appalling and brought the country into more disrepute, I have to say now that I hope Boris gets it done, without any fudge of a ‘deal’.
