There was talk of how many points we were above relegation just a couple of weeks ago. Nothing to say Notts can't go 5 games winless, or 5 undefeated in this league.

Barrow seem to be drawing quite a few games at the moment, allowing us to close the gap. This league is still up for grabs - but we would need to go on one hell of a winning run to get up there. Mind you, pretty sure that’s what Mansfield did when they got promoted from the Conference under Paul Cox. We have the quality if everyone stays fit and we can keep hold of Wootton. Having Crawford back in the squad is going to be like a new signing, too. COYP!
Even though we have won our last three, and are now only 7 points behind 1st place and not wanting to dampen anyone’s enthusiasm I still think it’s a bridge too far.
Barrow have 49 points from 26 games. That’s 1.88 points per game. So they are on course to finish on 87 points.
This means we would need another 46 points from the 19 games remaining. That’s 2.42 points per game. Or in simple terms another 14 wins, 4 draws and 1 defeat.
It would have to literally be better than our current form in the last five games of W3, D2, L0 for the remainder of the season.
I think the odds are against us for this reason and playoffs at best is all we can get now. Nothing to stop us aiming for 2nd or 3rd place though.
