It's hard to believe it's possible to spend that amount so badly but whoever owns you you seem to specialise in this mass cluster f u c k stockpiling of dross time after time with just the odd exception like McGinn.

Out of the blue last term Villa managed to gain promotion, though in all honesty following the cull of our aged players we needed longer in the Championship for a consolidation/intelligent plan of action
Our panicky recruitment drive of unknown & inexperienced players, meant it was always going to be an extremely tough ask in the Premier League
As for the spending, the transfer market is crackers where ordinary players that require 3 touches to control a ball are valued @ north of £20 million
Our recruitment focused/prioritised chiefly on Quantity over Quality, proving you cant shoe in an agglomeration of players to piece together a successful team

Freer there's a problem with your prediction. I think the baggies have blown their chances of automatic. Brentford have a better run in and are on quite a run. The baggies have drawn too many matches and with all their crowing on here over the season, I am deeply saddened by this.
Villa might have been ****e this season but its still a better performance than in 2016. There's glimmers of hope with the likes of Konsa and Luiz and I think even Wesley was more important than we realised til the Knee Distroyer of Burnley hacked him down.
Next season will be one of change again, but I think we should revert back to the original 5 year plan. We are financially stable now and have a good spine of players who will be allowed to be on the ball when Jack goes to united.
Newcastle are about to be bought by Saudi Arabia and whether that will be a false dawn or whether there will be tears of joy on the Tyne, who knows. I'm sure the Geordies will keep us abreast of all their coming achievements and I'm sure the baggies supporters on here will be just as gracious as ever if we are in the same league next season. They won't flood the board with gloating when we are relegated and they mess up their promotion.
