Stavely has some explaining to do if I'm honest. It seems that the 10% ownership for stately and the lure of whatever promised property contracts for the reubens is what the noise was all about. As without the saudis the deal was/is never gonna happen.

Hope the consortium prove me wrong, but i think it won't be long before we never hear from these guys again. Unless stavelys got more mega rich arabs up her sleeve

i think you might be right about pif, not so sure you have amandas and the reubens motives correct.

mind im a little surprised about the saudi's - i wouldnt have thought the "loss of face" would be acceptable to them ,,, but maybe not

I think it may well have been a 'loss of face avoidance' scenario.

I think it got to the point where the Saudis thought 'hang on, who do these small-time, jumped up, no mark little fuckers think they are, taking the piss out of us while the world watches'.

I reckon they pulled out because tp prevent losing face.

If Masters' father had pulled out I think we would have been home and dry by now. :O

Then if the Ruben's want to be part of the club so badly, then why not buy it with AS owning 10% ?
