So do I Mista. Unfortunately I think his injuries will not desert him. His game is based around explosive power which sees him leave opponents for dead. The lad has had the same sort of problems, injury wise that Michael Owen had even more so in his later days. MB was never as good as MO but they are the same type of player.Quote:

He was rather lucky getting so many chances though. Having said that, despite the fact most of the posters on here never rated him, a succession of managers saw something in him. They saw the potential that a string of injuries stopped in its tracks. Had we bought him as an 18 year old, he'd probably have been let go by 21 due to the injuries.
In a sporting and in a footballing sense, I think you are all too hard on the lad. Behaviourally, over the past 12 months, he's overplayed his hand for me too.
Not really, he's crap. He only got a bit of support as "1 of our own". If we'd bought him for £250,000, he would have been moved on years ago.
Funny how none of those managers saw enough in him to play him up front.
Yet still played him out wide when fit and kept on giving him new contracts........ I prefer their professional thoughts on him. Fans might have supported him cos "he's one of our own" but that won't be the reason those Managers backed him.Quote:
