It's disgusting but if it's going to happen I hope it happens sooner, so rest of us can get on with our league.
They also shouldn't be allowed to have anything to do with the prem. I.e. their reserve sides can't play in the league.
One thing that this might do is burst the money bubble and take things back a bit.
Yes, if the league has to restructure to take account of departures then it'll be a good opportunity to make things even just a tad more realistic, wages-wise. They'll have to do something as a large part of the tv money will follow the teams who leave.
it sounds like the american system -no relegation producing no real competition - and no away support ( all sports in america cause of travelling distances)

IMO, European football was best when we had one champiion in the CL, Cup Winners Cup, UEFA cup.
