How on earth did you manage to get your bank account hacked via Facebook? Am I missing something here?

This thread makes me think of the late Lord Magwales. He would go to great lengths to engage the scammers in hilariously long and elaborate email exchanges.

I used Facebook for advertising - one time only. The hackers set up a false sportswear company and used my bank account to pay for FB advertising. How they created a false credit card and tied it to me is beyond my reckoning.

Ah, Magwales. Miss the old feller a lot. I was still in regular touch with him to the very end of his days. Great sense of humour.

Mmm he was such a character. So many stories. So many iffy jokes. Think he made a number of friends via this forum (although obviously you'd known him for years) and it's good to think of that. He was still emailing and making us laugh at the end as you say.

What a presence on here he was too. Whenever I see tweed mentioned, the first thought is always of Magwales and those tweed knickers XD
