Going to have a tenor on Notts to go up now
The real highlight of that goal is the world’s most optimistic offside appeal from the Chesterfield defender who gave Ellis the freedom of Meadow Lane to score.
Comical!
Both the delivery and Ellis's movement were awesome there. would get great praise on MOTD if it were a premiership goal.
Oh my word. What a moment that was, in fact I can’t remember a time I celebrated that much.....everything just went white, and very loud, and I fully expected to come round at the bottom of the Jimmy Sirrel stand!
It wasn’t our best performance, mostly due to Chesterfield making it really difficult for us but whereas a few months ago we’d have lost that 3-1 we now have that extra quality in our play to eventually make something happen, which we did!
I’m sure there have been moments, but I can’t remember meadow lane being that loud celebrating a goal, so happy I was there to be a part of it!
Yes, it was an absolute delight to witness that today. Very stressful but an absolute delight.
Summed up perfectly the day today in one sentence. An occasion to remember. The 4,500 of our own fans and no away fans spread out over all four stands was surreal and made it seem and feel like there were a lot more than that there. I think it's made the atmosphere different having us spread out all over the ground instead of pre-covid being huddled together in the Kop and Pavis and having the JS stand empty with a sprinkling of away fans.
