Absolutely awful but if you're going to have to have a heart failure then as a player at a high profile sporting event in Scandinavia is probably the place to have it. You'd imagine they'll have all the protocols and equipment in place.

Excuse the banality but fingers crossed he pulls through and it puts sport in perspective.

Marc Vivien Foe sadly passed during the international confederations cup.

He has a 3 year old and a 6 month old baby, so he has to make it.

Following the medical emergency involving Denmark’s player Christian Eriksen, a crisis meeting has taken place with both teams and match officials and further information will be communicated at 19:45 CET.

The player has been transferred to the hospital and has been stabilised.
