What makes you believe you will be given the chance to "plead your case"?
A God who is omniscient and omnipresent already knows precisely the sum of your worth. Arguing with him (or her) would be entirely futile.
The question is, would you own everything you've done and take responsibility - or would you beg and grovel?

You are absolutely right piglet and my card would have already been marked even before drawing my final breath
Begging and groveling isn't my thing plus it would be pointless and embarrassing to do so,upon reflection I may have to try to find a hole in the fence instead of proudly walking through the gates

Thats a good question chalky, about i, or you or anyone has done enough. The short answer is no, we would not be here othorwise.
Ive tried to go through the ten commandments in my head, but cant remember them all. I will go and look at them again, and get back to you, will you do the same? Anyone reading this, it would be interesting to hear from othors too.
Some near death people say right or wrong is irrelevant, that its all good, its what you learn. Some have bad experiences. I think your experience after death is conditional on what youve done in this life, and othor lives. If your predominantly good, then a re birth will be better next time.
If you have a bad life, then its more trouble coming. There is a hell, weve all been there in this life.
Thinking about your evil, and repenting genuinely can dispel bad karma. Ive done a lot of that. I thought i was a good person......if your honest you realise what a count youve been.

The ten commandments were old testament.
They're effectively the old instructions.
Imagine trying to operate DVD player with the instruction manual for a Beta-Max video player.
