If I'm sharing documents with multiple people I'll sometimes put a unique invisible watermark on each one. If the document ends up being shared outside the group of people it should be, I can check the watermark on it and see which person shared it. Although that just proves it was copied and helps you see who did it, it doesn't actually prevent them copying it.
