You beat me to it Mick! Germany make me sick whilst people are being murdered in Europe. Just shut off SWIFT - if it plunges some of Europe into darkness - businesses or even my business goes bust as a result then so be it!

I thought the EU was united? Seems the UK are doing more than Germany and Merkel if still around would be worried about her pipe.

That post is pretty much entirely about the EU.

As for earlier posts about Germany, I agree with what other posters are saying. All countries should come together and sanction Russia as far as they can go. Russia needs to be cut off from the world.

But let’s not throw too many stones, we have taken a lot of Russian money in this country down the years. We need a collective effort from the international community now, and we need to support Ukraine as much as we can.
