I don't. It should be up to the football club and the player to negotiate compensation. No outside body should be able to say how much money clubs are able to spend. That doesn't mean all clubs should go into debt and be irresponsible.
Imagine if we sold out ML every home game, went on a big cup run, and sold our best player for £1 million. Why wouldn't we be able to use that money to outspend all the other teams who didn't manage to do all those things?
Any salary cap is bad, but the idea of a hard salary cap is horrendous. That would be the end for a club like Notts, taking away our edge against all the tinpot teams we play week in, week out.
