I seem to recall a little pub on the corner across from the bus depot which served a great pint of Tetleys and I wasn't particularly a Tetleys fan. I cant remember its name but it got demolished some years ago.
Shame a lot have gone. You could have a good pub crawl round there even on non match days before heading to town for the neet clubs.

I think you mean the Butchers Arms. Other pubs near the ground included the Little Station, Golden Cup and the Moulders Rest
