O/T Russian missiles hit Poland killing two

Apparently a NATO plane tracked the misile. No information was given from where it was launched but Poland have asked for Article 4 to be activated.

Article 4

The Parties will consult together whenever, in the opinion of any of them, the territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the Parties is threatened.

Convenient being near the Ukraine border that they can claim misfire, anything near the Belarus or Kaliningrad border would be harder to cover.

Just seen an interview from someone at NATO saying that the missile was Russian made but Ukraine also have those missiles. The US president has said that it was unlikely to have been fired from Russia but they're still looking at the evidence.

Thought this yesterday.Russia may have tried to shell the extremes of the country after retreating .which is a common tactic.leaving them probably having to fire anti”s here,there and everywhere ….in short where does it go when it misses its target…….answer anywhere..

Just unlucky for the Russians I suppose. They were probably trying to his a school or hospital.

It’s the ballistic equivalent of “ hey mister, can I have my ball back”

25 years ago I worked on software for missile defence systems and although unlike Ivan Toney I'm not a betting man I'd guess that with the 'speed' US DOD procurement moves at those systems are still in use in some parts of the world today.
