Comparison of the current UK government with the Nazi government in Germany in 1930s

The statistics show that Carlisle United have played 34 matches and got 61 points. Obviously these statistics are not true.

We need no excuse to point out the numerous flaws, corruption and outrages committed by this government. This is the worst government since Griff was born and as a child he had a pet dinosaur. The Labour Party is not in power. It ceased in 2010 so nobody can criticise it for what it has done since then. It cannot do anything. The Blair governments were Tory light. Anything criticism of either Labour or Conservative before that is irrelevant. We are living in 2023. The bogeymen of Labour and Conservative prior to the Blair government are now a null argument.

I used to try and have sensible discussions once about homo***ually but it would always end with some queen screaming at me "That's how the Nazis/Hitler" started and I would cut the conversation right there and then,this thread was started comparing the Conservatives to the Nazis

Nobody is saying that the Conservative government will go as far as the Nazis. It will not get UK armed forces to make incursions into neighbouring countries, leading to a world war. But the comparison with the Nazi government of 1933 onwards for several years is valid and is specifically made clear in the table in this thread.

The percentage of the UK population that is of any religion has been gradually going down for at least 40 years, gradually, but consistently. It is a minority of the population. A belief that homos­exuality is, for want of a better word, a sin, wrong, evil may get a majority of support within the religious community but in the overall population it is not thought of in such terms.

It would be terrible if our political leaders based their policies on religion, especially the contents of The Old Testament. Worldwide there are leaders whose religious beliefs would put their countries permanently in conflict with those of different religions.

Due to the atrocities the Germans did during WWII I will refrain from comment other than not a nice comparison & threads like this could cause offence

Sensible discussions should always be encouraged bdb no matter what your views,if the discussion goes underground then it's genuinely not good outcome and I'm speaking as someone who once had a pink brick put through their car window,yes the brick was actually pink

Every individual has his / her concept of what is sensible and what is offence. Some such individuals like to consider that their concept of such boundaries is the definition that all of us should accept.
