Yep think ASLEF are tube drivers and RMT maybe for office staff ???

We have to beat Boreham/Barnet/Bromley yet though before we worry about Wembley trips.

I can see why some would stay in Nottingham with the hassle it is going to cause IF we make it !

Strikes and busy trains is no fun for any fan who is travelling from Nottingham via train, car or coach but we've never been to the new Wembley as Notts fans. We haven't been to a playoff final for ages and have no idea when the next opportunity will be. For those reasons I would never settle for TV viewing for such a huge potential game

I’m with Laddo on this one. No matter the difficulties in getting there, the experience will be well worth the effort. I never thought I’d see Notts play at Wembley in my lifetime, then instead of a two-legged play-off final, from 1990, the winner of each division’s play-off competition was decided in a one-off final at Wembley Stadium. It just so happened that Notts qualified for the final in that first season, and on 27 May 1990, I found myself walking down Wembley Way with my mates to watch Notts play Tranmere. Then a repeat the following year to watch Notts play Brighton. Amazingly we visited Wembley Stadium three more times before the end of that decade. So I’ve got my fingers crossed that we get through the play-off semi-final, and I can see Notts play at Wembley once again, but this time at the new stadium. COYP.

That's the way I'm thinking. No problem with planning ahead, but I won't consider any travel options until we actually get there.

I still have fond memories of the infamous "Where are you sitting at Wembley" thread from over the river, so let's walk before we run.

Aldenham Country Park, limited facilities but cheap as chips considering where it is. Doesn’t do big vans (motor homes) though only tents and campers.

Great memory that first final v Tranmere. I am not worried to admit I had tears streaming as Neil Warnock led the team out.

But for the price of a few pints I’ve somewhere to stay sorted. In 2 weeks there’ll be no availability and will have to pay a lot more for a hotel and still have to drive if there’s no trains. You’re a gambler, this is my version of a flutter.
