All the right moves are being made so far, its early days yet. I will judge after 5 years, guarantee you won't be questioning anything then. Sure of it.
The biggest reason is that the EPL implemented a rule in Oct '21 related to inter-company transfers (most likely in relation to City ownership and their footprint of clubs, and probably stuff like Watford's shady deal with Udinese) to ensure that fair value is paid when the same owners are involved.

Please enjoy a conversation between David Rubenstein & our own chairman, Saudi Wealth Fund Head Yasir Al-Rumayyan.
This really details just how powerful these people are.
Aramco is the largest & richest country on the global stock market. However the current amount of stocks in the market is only 2% of the entire value of the company!
So let that sink in. Bigger than Apple or Amazon or Google with only 2% of it's shared in the market.

Couldn't view that video but I get the gist. Its a trillion dollar operation. I heard last night that the entire sports portfolio is only about 2% of their total investments. When you consider Liv, F1 and football, thats staggering.
As a comedian who I can't remember the name of once said "I bet Moses would regret turning right after the Red Sea instead of left and got the oil instead of oranges"

Very interesting. I get the impression that Yasir Al-Rumayyan is a decent man with good morals and business ethics from this. A lot of corporate responsibility in those chosen investments. A lot classier than your normal US/UK company boss I reckon. I reckon these lads should get behind the British electric car battery industry here because its non existent as it stands - ahead of the 2030 deadlines set by the government. Money to be had there, I think they attempted a mega factory in Blythe but it collapsed due to lack of government support.
In the Middle East things are considerably more traditional. Dignity, respect and decency are still integral to society. in 8 yrs I've only seen 1 or 2 people screaming, shouting and arguing in public. Surprise, Surprise those people were drunk Europeans, Dutch & a English... doing us proud! So embarrassing!
They have a concept called 'Wasta' - it means 'Clout / Who you know'. Western media like to report it as Nepotism, a negative thing. When in fact, its the complete opposite. People who do a good job and show loyalty, respect and deliver on their word and promise are rewarded with more work, promotions, responsibility and all the benefits that go with those advantages.
Relationships are more important simple monetary profits. The culture here is still very much based on the tribal ethos of respecting elders, doing your bit as part of a collective group of men, not letting the rest of the tribe down and being able to look a man in the eye, shake the hand and know that means something.
All virtues which have sadly been eroded from our own culture with the rise of greed, vanity, pride and selfishness.
I agree, we have been conditioned to believe that the old "Nepotism" ways are evil, its how it used to be here and still goes on make no mistake, especially in some professions. It is not always negative but can be if the unwritten rules are not followed properly.
