Yeah I've seen that too.

However, it's not clear if Salah will leave this summer.
They are trying to move on Diaz & Nunes so they can keep Salah.
Saudi would come in big for Salah due to his profile as an iconic Islamic sportsman. However, it's whether Salah feels his still got seasons at the very top level in him or he's ready to take that step down. He's 31 so I recon he's got at least 1 or 2 more seasons at the very top with his fitness and professionalism, he's in pretty decent shape.

Bryan Mbeumo would be a great signing for us if we can get him. The kind of profile which fits our model. Not the big established name but a very effective hard working player with end product in that 22-25 age bracket with plenty of development & time on his side.

At the right price maybe, but not the money quoted. No way.

Not for the reported 60 million, if it was 30-35 then get him in!

On Wilson going the other way:

1 - Would Frank & Brentford see him as an adequate replacement? Goals wise possible injury wise absolutely not. Frank is a tool and wouldn't accept a player who only sees 50% of matches as season, they suffered with Toney being suspended so next season he'll expect a striker to be ever present and bang in form. A 32/33 yr old Callum sadly isn't that man. Or we'd not be discussing swapping or selling the fella.
2 - Say they do go for it, are Brentford genuinely gonna value a 32/33 yr old striker with 1 yr left on his contract that spends 50% of his season in the treatment room at 1/2 the value of their 15-20+ goal a season goal scorer? Granted he's out of contract end of 24/25 season too but the man has legs and only 28.

I'm not too sure.

Again I'd look to go for an emerging talent rather than an established on. We have our first choice, world class 20+ goal a season striker. We need a developing talent who is gonna give us the 10-12 goals Wilson offers for the injury room table.

On the personality… I didn’t know there was an issue there… if there is then can’t see Eddie going for him, but not see anything reported (could easily have missed it mind)

On the ego/playing… I’d see him rotating with Isak in the same way Wilson did last season.

On the wages… yeah, it’s his last ‘big’ transfer he’ll ever get, so probably an issue.

In Wilson… when I said offset the cost I didn’t mean with Brentford, I meant to use whatever we get for Wilson to offset the cost of a deal.

If Wilson would stay fit I’d keep Wilson everyday of the week, and but his history is against that and our medical dept don’t look particularly good.

He will probably end up at Chelsea!
