I was all for keeping Minteh and Anderson.. but for the 2 fees combined as ling as we stay within FFP and improve the squad in happy..

It seems like a sensible option don't you think.
As much as we obviously hate losing homegrown and potential we simply have to trust those at the club this time, unlike last time.

The club clearly wants to move forward, and painful decisions have to be made to sort of take a theoretical step back to gain two more forward in the longer run.

Just a little press release would put out thr fires of fan outrage at all hysterical fake reports and misinformation.

However, I guess the club could well be driving some of that misinformation traffic to Hope and the other 'friendly journos' to keep opposition guessing.

Who knows anymore, I don't like what I've been seeing regarding DCL & Elanga, they are both Mike Ashley signings. I genuinely believe the club won't be bringing in squad players this summer. Thus 2nd phase of development HAS to be players of the very best quality to elevate us.

Couldn't we have sold Anderson to a Saudi team, then loan him back for the season, then buy him back

Don’t agree on Elanga.

I think he is an improvement on Miggy, and is a very realistic signing… and worst case scenario he becomes the second spot in a near future window and Murphy goes out… leaving Elanga and A.N.Other to start on the right.

It’s an improvement, and at this point in time it would mean we keep more money for a replacement for Wilson and a right footed centrehalf.

Also… he’s a compatriot of Isak, and they are similar ages, so be good for him coming to the club and for Isak to have a fellow Swede at the club.

Quick player, did well against Burn when they played us but overall I'd be slightly underwhelmed even as the 2nd choice.

Anthony Elanga 23/24 stats
goals 5 assists 9 games 39

Miguel Almirón 23/24 stats
goals 5 assists 3 games 45

so stats are a shade better than Miggy, the out put is there. 22 yrs old and as he came through 'The Filth's' academy he's technically classed as 'Home Grown' despite being Swedish.

I'm coming around to the idea.

Aye - I think he'd be an upgrade on Miggy.

He was very good against us and is only 22. Pretty sure he will be a good and (fairly) inexpensive upgrade.

The DCL one worries me.

The PSR period is over...we can splash a bit more cash now and in future we will actually have assets with higher value that won't hurt us so much.

That's if the rules are not changed, as I believe they will... because they were absolutely not brought in to punish teams in this way...
