I'm okay about this. He did very well for us, but one player does not make a team. Him leaving has been hanging over us for a long time. We will reinvest the cash I'm sure. Also, I'm keen to see what Scott and Jatta can do.

I wonder if giving Brooks to Gateshead was dependent on them cancelling Langstaff's sell on fee?

Who has said they'd pay over £1m for him ?

It might be a figure in his contract just like we got him for £50k.

He hasn't gone yet though so lets wait & see.

Not sure it is tbh. I'm sorry to see him go, and I wouldn't have accepted £700k but if I was a club in a higher division I wouldn't pay more than that. He's scored a hatful of goals but all at a significantly lower level.

Our summer action seems to be targeted towards having the lowest number of goals in our league games.

I posted a few weeks ago, someone who said if he was a manager he would take a gamble on him at 2.5m. It's on a thread somewhere

Probably a loan voice but I think we have have the best of him over the last two seasons and I would take the money and buy two players.
At this level you can get quality players at £350k
