I suppose everyone has the need to feel important. It could be through an important job, family or friends. For you it is having power trips on message boards. Suppose there are worse things for society. BUt maybe you could try volunteering

Can’t there be some middle ground thst you can both agree on,for all of his faults piglet is a prolific poster
