From what I've heard Maynard and Brennan were very close but whatever happened at Wealdstone led to a serious falling out between them.
Barnet moved something like 5 miles from their old stadium to their new one. That's not a big distance to a club with a big fan base but for a club like Barnet you're probably moving a sizeable distance from 95% of your supporters. When you factor in that poor match day experience (who can forget the first post-lockdown away match where almost all of their staff were being used for a wedding reception in the away bar?) it's no wonder they struggle for fans. I think they want to move back to Barnet, it's easy to see why!
