where are at now ? one point from 18 , one win in 17 ?
really poor side led by an equally poor manager

Liverpool are a damn good side but were poor and there for the taking in the first half.
Problem was we didn't capitalise, too much hesitation and sideways/backwards passing. JRB actually looked scared.
Second half was really painful to watch.

I went to the match expecting the worst but in the end it took a penalty to beat us. We played some entertaining football for long periods and looked good until the final third, and then the brakes came on. Why do we break so well and then pass the ball back into our half? Is it lack of belief or lack of movement up front? It could be that players are afraid to try something in case it goes wrong, and 25,00 supporters shout at them.
Having got back into the game through the persistence of Larsen we gift them a penalty, which in the case of a top six side is always going to be given. Still plenty of time to get back at them, but no, we persist in passing the ball around at the back when we need to be pressing their goal. School boy stuff.
On the plus side I thought both Toti and Bueno did well at the back and Larsen worked his socks off.
Brentford at the weekend and with a bit more intent and the same commitment that we showed against Liverpool, we might get at least a point, but three would lift the camp and supporters.
