Spot on with that assessment.

Well that's a 1/4 of the season gone and we're 9 points off the auto promotion spot.
Totally the dominant side and apart from scoring the goal Wrexham offered nothing and hard to see why they are 2nd.
Should have been 3 points. Deserved 3 points. Got nuffin.
For me, one of the most telling statistics this season:
Games Played - 12
Games where the opposition scored first - 9
Games where we scored first - 2
Games where nobody scored - 1
and so it was today - chasing the game, again and again.
I think we missed JCH up front a fair bit. Would have liked to see Kelly come on for at least the last 20 minutes.
To me mom was Powell, but we need to get another striker in, we were on top most of the game but the end product was missing.
Evans freebies are not working, plus a previous manager getting Hugill in was a big mistake.
He just goes through the motions, time foe Evans to read him the riot act, & tell him to earn his money, could end up being another Blackstock signing.
The way the Wrexham team and fans were celebrating after the game I thought they'd won the champions league not beaten little old rotherham
I think that game should make us more realistic on who we are and where we are within this league. We played some nice football, but we are quite slow and moving the ball throw midfield or across the pitch, we had a lot of possession but didn't work their keeper very much at all. We are 15th with more than a quarter of the season gone and we have played more games than a lot of teams. It is very unlikely with this squad we will be in the top 8 when santa comes. The positives for me are Tiehi and Powell played well and battled well in Midfield, McCart and Humphries are good with the ball in front of them but poor at dealing with crosses, Hungbo and Holmes did well when they came on oh and Brammall has improved since earlier in the season. A fact about Hungbo, in a ten minute spell today he put 5 good crosses into the box all going on the outside of the defender, so he can do if played on the left side in the correct position.
We have a huge problem at both ends of the pitch, our goalies are not capable of dominating the area in the air, 3 of the last 4 goals conceded come from crosses with the keeper nowhere near them, we need another keeper. At the other end we do not have a no9 that is fit, even Evans has said JCH not been fit all season and now out for another month. Osong not included again, he surely deserves to be on the bench as an option down the centre especially when you think who is selected ahead of him. Wrexham had 3 Cfs that are big strong and capable of winning a ball and bringing others into the game, I am not saying they are world beaters but they are better than what we have at playing that role.
We have only kept 2 clean sheets out of 12, we always look like we will concede a goal, that has to be addressed and hoping that Raggett is the answer is foolish. According to reports he has been close to the matchday squad for the last three games, and then he becomes the invisible man. He is hoping to win the Grant Hall award for playing the least number of minutes whilst a Rotherham player. Why wasn't Kelly on the pitch, if he is fit enough to be on the bench why not fit enough to at least get the last 20 minutes. You really have to question some of the summer recruitment in terms of players that don't play or have closer relationships with the club doctor than their teammates.
As for Hugill, oh dear what a clown. We had the ball, they were struggling to clear and seems to fake a head injury and stops play. Yes he in my opinion he did fake the head injury. He was rolling around like a freshly caught trout, holding his head. When the referee stopped play for that and the trainer came on, it was suddenly a leg injury, it was a great piece of defensive work by him for Wrexham.
We have to end with a positive though, we aren't just lumping it forward now, we did play a lot better than earlier in the season and we are too good to go down.
Mid table best hope - just keep clear of the drop zone. It’s all about fine margins, but far too often our default seems to be to fall one particular side of that fine margin
How confident would we be scoring in the first minute and looking to keep a clean sheet for the rest of the game?
We tried to play fooball, but wasn't very good when it counted. If people think were a big side then they haven't seen Wrexham.
So what do we do against a big side.......play Nombe and Wilks who never won a meaningful header/ball all day. Nombe isnt a target man, he wants the ball in front of him to run on to............that was a strange set-up from Evans.
Wrexham suffocated us and we couldn't do owt about it. How many times have people on here said that possession means nothing ....and it certainly did today. We had no creativity in midfield...AGAIN. Powell is great 1 minute and shocking the next. We don't look threatening from set pieces/corners, only looking for chaos and scrambles.
We'll be lucky to get anywhere near the play-offs unless something drastically changes............
Don't mention our goalies, both are a bag of nerves and won't come for a cross. The last 4 goals we've concede have come from a cross inside our 6 yds box.................poor. Once again it's on our "recruitment" team.........
