Agreed on that one. Fergie and Moyes were very close as friends and that was probably why Fergie pushed for Moyes, who was nowhere near the strong character that Fergie had been for that particular job.

Unless Fergie was playing a long game on pushing for someone he knew wouldn't stand up to his record so it's really stark compared to him and he though the next bloke after would put man utd back "in their rightful place" but instead. . . .XD XD XD
With all the resources they have and a bottomless pit of money to spend on players they must be up there with Spuds as the worst run club in the country now.
It is really quite a simple question. I asked of posters " Is Manure's demise the fault of Fergie"
The only opinion I offered was that I thought had he passed on his secrets about how he did it then Manure would be a stronger force than they are now.
I'm sure most posters will understand the difference.
Fergie got out at the right time.
Glazers took over in 2005 and they still had success, with their last title in 2013, but the writing was in the wall.
The only real ‘accusation’ you can level at him, is he controlled everything at the club and left without a proper structure in place to replace him… but even that is down to the owners… so they’ve struggled down the massive void left.
