Assuming the owner didn't see this coming so quickly, a short list may not even be drawn up. I do hope it doesn't drag on till February as per our normal historical searching. I'll accept a manager that still manages to bring down our average age...🤣

There is no doubt that CC turned our club around and we have to be eternally grateful for that. However, latterly I do think that he was too cautious in his approach. I am sorry that he has gone but we now have to look to the future and to appoint the right man for the job. Having stated that I did not KNOW very much about Heitinga I have read up a little about him and he appears to have the correct approach and is not one of the merry go round managers. My only concern is that he has been working with high quality players and how he would cope with players of lesser ability. Perhaps that is being a little pessimistic on my part.

I read somewhere Dubbs they had a list of 19 names which is now a shortlist. I think the media rarely have a clue till it gets close to an appointment. How many times has someone never mentioned took over a club. Lots of times, because early on its all guesswork.Quote:
