Let’s hope we make short work of the Letts.
45 minutes of my life I won't get back. Latvia should have been 1-0 up before Reece James curled in a beauty of a free-kick to make England go in at the break 1-0 up. I'm off to knit a jumper or crochet a new tablecloth, anything but sit through another 45 minutes of that $hite.:blue:
it's been pedestrian and i think our Burnley team could be beating this side. Eze's goal was a moment of individual brilliance, him v 5 defenders and he won. there's hope for the future and it also inlcudes harry Kane, he is irreplaceable at the moment.
It is standard England so far. We should qualify with ease from the group stages without having to face any tough fixtures. It is only come the tournament proper and we have to face the top ranked teams that we will see whether Tommy Tuchel has the nous to make a difference.
I think little Tommy T will have to try some other combinations. Branthwaite and Colwill are very promising and both aged 22 so they could benefit playing alongside a more experienced centre back (not Maguire I venture to suggest). This is where Tuchel can prove his worth by finding his best eleven to be ready for a big tournament. Sir Gareth never managed it.
Looked like the same old, same old to me, even down to the bizarre decision to play an 18 year old left-back in central midfield, where to be fair, he was quite adept at passing the ball sideways.
The old warhorse has pulled TT out of the dung yet again.
Bellingham is too greedy and is as thick as mince.
Foden looks jaded and lightweight.
Rashford well past his sell by date.
Bowen is not good enough for the international setup.
TT has much work to do because right now we look a long way off being serious contenders in Trump's America.
