I would tend to agree with the point that more positive tactics need to be utilised on a weekly basis, particularly at the level the club currently sit. This reared it's head again in the first leg of the play-off, albeit Cove's pressing contributed also.
In terms of the manager listening to fans, I would lose all respect for him if this happened as there would be no return from the weakness shown. He's in a well paid (i would assume) job to make his own decisions, something he will have many qualifications and experience to do and does not need a bunch of two bit fans telling him what he is doing wrong. Opinions are fine, yes, however I am happy to admit Murphy knows what he's doing in that role far more than I do. Footballs a strange sport in many ways but not for that reason.
The alternative sporting equivalency would be me approaching Novak Djokovic or Rory McIlroy in the middle of their match/round and advisng them that the shot they played was idiotic and they'd be a fool for not listening to me. It would be an opinion yes but I'd fully expect to be told where to go and be put back in my metaphorical box.
We should keep voicing opinions undoubtedly as that's what makes our sport great but maybe temper our expectations that we know better otherwise there's not much point in a manager.
