I wish he fcukin' would. Not been the same at the back without him. Not all down to him obviously.
A solid back three , flanked by Strain and Ferry was our strong point. DG directing traffic. KH thinking he was Heggy, and RG fully fit, were a good unit. plenty variations of that I know.
Not fully convinced that any variation tomorrow will stop the flow of goals. But.......... I'll be there , knowing one last charge might (just might) get us 4th position.
Incredible , first season back.
Be gutted , if we ended up 6th now though...
A quick look at the Sheep forums tells you they're very unhappy with their manager and players. Most predicting a draw at best.
Based on squad size, players available and quality, they should be favourites to win this even if it is an away game. The big question is whether our players have the appetite to go out and get the win we need.
I'm a bit in the middle on the ADS v Shedka battle of opinions, I think both opinions are fair enough. Everyone sees things differently. For example GF Posse says all JG's signings were sh1te. So I'm guessing he doesn't rate Walton Strain Ferry Holt Svelj Dalby etc . Or maybe he meant January signings, I'll ask him.
I think we can get the 3 points if we want them enough.
Goalkeeper dunno
Strain SCH Gall Ferry
Middleton Svelj Docherty Sibbald
......... ..Fotheringham
.....................Dalby
Swap Middleton for Trapanovski if we need to change
Fotheringham ahead of Moult, Moult and Dalby have never really clicked apart from that fantastic goal at Motherwell.
Kai did well in a central role at Ibrox and might just un nerve their CB''s
Sibbald is out for tomorrow. Looks like Middleton left, Kai right with Babunski in the 10 role.
Will be tough if we lose the first goal, even though they are rubbish. I just hope if it's a draw and Goodwin is pushing for a winner he comes up with something more original than sticking on 3 centre forwards with no one to provide any service and leaving gaping holes in the middle of the park for opponents to pick us off. And surely moult should be coming off the bench ahead of Paton.
The signings from January, none have performed, none have improved and often been passengers in a team that doesnt need them.Quote:
Or did you mean Jan window signings?
Its like he had to make signings to keep the faithful temp happy, now hes lumped with them.
I'm sure he would have hoped for better from them as they had decent track records. It hasn't worked out, it happens.
A very attacking lineup, hopefully a different outcome from when he's done that before.
Walton on the bench, must be carrying an injury, same back 4, Babunski in for Sibbald. No Kai in the matchday squad.
