Works out about ?4 extra a game I believe?
Seems expensive for League One.
Might have been better to change the concession to 65 and keep the adult price the same.
People in that age bracket will no doubt disagree.
GF, for the record we are the only League 1 club who have a concession for 60 and over.
Football attendance is hard enough so to offer that incentive to even away fans I think is worth an applaude. But if the other 22 clubs in our league state 65 and over then we need to get in line also in order to create extra revenue.
I would think that the increase in season ticket revenue will be more aligned to the increase in running costs rather than the playing budget. If you consider all the years that prices were frozen this increase was not that surprising. Poor decisions though, have been made regarding Management and player recruitment as they have at many football clubs over the last 2 years or so but you have to look forward and give the best budget possible to the current incumbent.
It's an interesting one isn't it.
The price increase is tough on the deprived people in our community, that struggle to make ends meet and maybe use football for escapism and for those that now can't afford to go, you have my sincerest of sympathies.
From the clubs perspective, huge increase in operating costs in the last financial year, we've been relegated so already have to cut our cloth accordingly. Stewart is already investing into the losses as it is. Reading between the lines, I think he's less interested in the product and therefore wants the club to self fund as closely as possible, which he's well within his rights to do. Feels like it could be a season of scrimping and scraping in that regard. He does now need to look towards the clubs long term future and plan without him in it, but that's a wider point that doesn't need to be discussed now.
To those of you who say the product is an issue and a reason some may not renew, I partially agree, but as supporters, it's our job to support the club during good times and bad, and we've had some wonderful times in the last 20 years so happy to invest in the club to help Hammy have a competitive budget for the coming year.
Have the matchday prices been updated as of yet to reflect the increases in season ticket prices? Not sure I've seen them and I'd be interested to see and compare with equivalent level clubs.
No one wants to see price rises in anything, but all things considered there haven’t been many increases in our time at the NYS.
For me a season ticket is about supporting the club and while I can still afford it then I will.
I don’t get to all games but if I did it still only works out at ?13.91 per match.
Looking forward to a better season than the last.

As usual the diehards will pay it but there’s nothing there to convince the undecideds to renew
Last season there was the return of Evans and some rapid signings that gingered things up but this close season is so far very quiet
Will be interested to see how that compared to other L1 clubs.
Friend is paying ?389 for his Huddersfield renewal
And he's moaning at that cos its gone up a lot from last year.
