He certainly transformed Spuds, tho winning a cup they were one of the favourites for was a part getting out of jail.
You seem quicker to put down DF, where as AP did absolutely nothing with a useful Spurs squad.
Yes Hopey he had some injuries but continued to play the same suicidal high line with inexperienced back 4 in league and only for 3 poor promoted teams would have been in a relegation battle, which is a ridiculous achievement . Similar to Martin who just got sacked, prefers to persevere with his principles rather than start with something suited to the squad he has available
No comparison between Farke and Ange at this point in their careers as Ange has a lot of top tier trophies to his name.
Yes Ange is stubborn but so is Bielsa and I?d have him back in a heart beat.
It wasn?t just a few injuries at Spuds but at one point I think they had 10 out which any team would struggle with.
His appointment at Florist is odd as they do t really have a squad suited to his style and he needs time to get his methods across.
Oz,
Not easy for me to do this but..... Come on, what has DF done? He's gotten 3 teams promoted out of the championship. Maybe the most difficult thing to do in promotion based football. He did it with very tight owners at Norwich and even more importantly with Leeds who sold off some of their best players right before the season 2 years running and set the ship right after the chaos of the relegation year.
You could put him as one of the best every coaches in maneuvering the intricacies and corruption of the FA and championship level football. He did it with minimal fuss and chaos that characterizes many clubs chasing promotion. Give him credit for his niche. He's very, very good at it.
Prem's a different story but he's done some good work so far and I'm sure he had some input on the signings which seem pretty solid. If past history holds true and we improve as the season goes along we should be solid to stay in the prem.
Not disrespecting AP but I think it's like comparing apples to oranges. He's had some incredible individual players as well as huge established teams he's been gifted. Not sure how many, if any, he's built from scratch which is what many coaches have had to do.
Don't think he's a fit at all for Forest.
We’ll said spaldy, agree completely.
