Domination last two games

2 good games doesn't validate the 343, not at all.
There have been many games this season where the middle two in that 4 have been out matched by an opponent's 3 or even 4.

Plus there have been several matches where the spaces in behind our wing backs were exploited because they were so high up the pitch they were posted missing. The matches drawn and lost columns tell their own story. Dozens of unopposed crosses coming in against our centre backs. Centre backs coming out to stop the crosses and leaving big gaps in the centre.

The 343 worked in these last two games because we implemented a high energy press and we used the ball better when we got it. And because most of our players brought their A game at the same time. How often can we say that this season?

I do think there are little signs that Jim Goodwin realises he's been alienating more and more of the home support and is starting work to try and fix that.

We also have to think of what the opposition do against our 343 if they know we are putting square pegs in round holes. Fortunately, Celtic looked lost, and seemed to have no idea of the best way to get in behind us and exploit any weaknesses. That in my opinion, is why the formation worked. If we dont have the same players in the same positions (for any amount of reasons) many other teams will know (and have done) how to get unmarked wide and put free crosses in to our box against a back three that seem to have their own issues (sometimes)

Progress has been made recently I must admit. Hopefully more to come, Lets start at Ibrox, then put 6 past Livi... :D

It HAS clearly proven that it isn't the 3 at the back that it the issue whether you and stoke think otherwise or not, it can't really be argued and couldn't careless if you find me annoying (you should look at yourself across multiple boards)

Last season we finished 4th playing 3 at the back 90% of the time

The last two games and some earlier in the season (Easter road etc) has now shown us 3-4-3 more specifically can work.....WITH the right personnel, any small tweaks though can affect it more than say 4-4-2 or 4-3-3

We've found the xi that can play the system effectively and it looks very effective and that's what JG has been looking for, the stats don't lie in these two games, a derby at dens and hold to Celtic are difficult games and we have looked great and dominated on chances (39 shots for United) and chances given up (barely anything)

I'd rather play the system with the line up the last two weeks than go for a 4 at the back for the remainder of the season that's for sure

You still can't hold your hand up and admit that you spouted shyte all the way through that campaign and continually devalued everyone else's opinion.

When I suggested we should be signing Alex Gogic he laughed and said Calum Butcher was a far better player.

That's why I don't really bother with him.

Last season, yes of course, 3 at the back worked, mainly 3-5-2 with more limited group but more solid, we were fine for most part, only tended to go 4 at back against the old firm but we have a better record against the old firm this year with 3 at the back (2 wins 2 draws 1 loss)

Relegation season, you have brought that up a couple times and I've not engaged as would only make you look silly again but in what way was I wrong about that season and you right? I know we had a top 5 record from October to January over a 15 game period that got us get out of the top two under Fox (when we were without a win going into October and bereft of confidence) of all people, until some rotten luck late January followed by releghitti getting tackled into his own net by may in February in a game we likely would have went onto win, changing manager didn't save us anymore than sticking with Fox would have

However we have the right man at the helm right now on the back of it to bring stability back, something that you would like to tear up for some reason, not a reason worth the risk the risk that's for sure

Butcher at his best for Utd is way better in midfield than Gogic, Butcher was class for us at the time

As a centre back, you'd have to say Gogic is better

Not like you to be offended because someone doesn't agree with you, and you do tend to go with sack manager as a default so you will be more in ads side point of view, if it's not Clarke at Scotland (maybe our best manager ever) it's Goodwin, infact since you carry up old stuff you wanted Houston out too let's not forget and maybe Levein as well when we ended his first full season with 3 defeats and started the next season with no wins in the first few games

Here's one for you, Sevelj is better than Camara, I've thought it all season
