I'd say he has done a reasonably good job so far.

It's not worth debating these points with those posters. There's more chance of getting a Brexit deal than any kind of agreement.
Had to smile though that it took two days to find an excuse for us beating Stockport. 'Marginal win'.
I look for excuses when we lose, and celebrate when we win, however we manage it. I really don't care!
Swale said Ardley had done a "great job" so far this season, you say a "reasonably good job", and I said he'd "underachieved a bit", so quite a range of views! Mine was based on the fact we've already lost 4 games with less than 30% of the season gone. If we carry on like that, we will lose at least 13 games over the course of the season. That would rule automatic promotion out, and even a playoff place would would only be around 5th at best. I'm also basing it on the teams we've played so far. Although we can't say where all the teams will finish, I don't think it can be described as a difficult start. I think Torquay and Sutton will struggle to maintain their early season form so there's still plenty to play for, but we need definitely need to improve on what we've done so far.
I agree that we've had fairly comfortable fixtures and haven't taken advantage of them, but I've also seen some positive changes that give me hope for the future (haven't got time to write them now but will do later).
Obviously the proof of the pudding will be whether we can put a proper run together. Time will tell!
I thought with what he'd learnt last season then we'd be the one in Torquays position now which to me feels like a fail. Having said that you can't for certain say we won't go up especially after the game the other night as that was a big win and will give the players alot of confidence plus we'll have Thomas and Roberts back which should make us more creative. Things are in the balance, could go tits up or could go well but too early this season yet to give a definitive answer.
I believe we got to the 20 point mark after 11 games, one more than I hoped so he (just) failed that start to the season target.
On paper we've had an easy start, although as commented by many anyone can beat anyone and all the sides near the top or expected promotion candidates have lost at home to the unfancied smaller teams.
Personally I think he's done pretty well so far with recent signs of improvement, but not much more than that tbh. The manager and players should be frustrated and annoyed we haven't got a few more points but we there or thereabouts at this stage.
If we were mid-table at this point of the season with 5/6 less points then serious questions should be being asked. But we aren't and haven't really been all season#IN
I would grade the start to the season a B-. If we had lost to Stockport it would have been a C+ at best, fine lines. That's why I have little time for big overreactions after each game, well that's what Stall and myself think anyway.
B- seems a fair mark. We should have drawn the two home games we lost and should have won the two away games we drew - that’s 6 points we carelessly threw away. Let’s just hope we now build on the Stockport result and go on a long winning streak the way Barrow did last season.
