Anyone know if FFP restricted our potential spend? I do agree that it looks as if the brakes were applied with Gerrard likely to get the boot, it would give a new manager time to get the best from what he has and decide what's needed in January, FFP permitting.
I was thinking that myself but then again who pays any attention to it, I mean the takeover of Chelsea included the new owners carrying 1.5 billion in debt and they went out and spent nearly 300 mill on players! 8 prem team spent over 150 mill. I see PSG have been 'Warned' about their spending and could face an 8 mill fine...really, I'm sure they are worried about that. It could be that we are following guidelines but more realistically, do not want to gamble any more cash with a Manager facing the sack!
