Absolutely. The referee was a know face from just over the border in Bulgaria and was given a cheer when he came on the pitch. There was a group of us listening to the game on the radio in a classroom at school as it was afternoon our time and we couldn't believe what were hearing. The commentator even said at the end of the game 'and the referee is celebrating with the Radnicki players'.

Anyone known if Solidsport would work from abroad with a vpn?

Remember it well myself - I think it was a David Francey BBC commentary special. The boy was literally from just up the road and probably the equivalent of us wheeling out Boab Valentine at Tannadice. IIRC he was booking anything in a Tangerine jersey for the square root of phuck all, culminating in him booking Hamish and awarding an indirect free kick in oor box for the offence of holding on to the ball for 3 secs when they were chasing an equaliser.

I'm in Spain. I think it probably would. I've got 2 mobiles and my UK one, when I switch off my home wifi thinks I'm roaming so I could take a similar risk.
