Feeling mugged off at all ?
It seems obvious to me there has been a concerted and united effort by msn, other political parties, (even some of his own) and the unions, to try to oust Boris Johnson, mutch the same as with Trump across the pond. Many of the lies Johnson is renowned for, when drilled down turn out to be massively hyped up or even false.
The fact he has stood firm against this witch hunt, shows great strength of character, something not obviously in abundance, in his would be successors, fro either his own party, or Labour.
The fact the Tories are only 2% behind Labour mid term, tells you that BJ and the Tories are not as unpopular as the msm would have you believe.
We are living in extraordinary times, at the moment, and believe we would have been in deeper doo doo had any other leader been in charge.
To finish with an honest question, does anyone believe Starmer has not told lies whilst leading his party.
Extraordinary.
All the MSM right from The Daily Mail, The Sun, The Express, The Times, The Telegraph right through to the smarter media such as GB News.
Poor old Boris, he's only been sacked for lying from every job he's ever had but perhaps he's not a charlatan and a compulsive liar but simply misunderstood.
Keep putting the x in the box 1959, as someone that purports to have lived off minimum wage for most of your life you are the Eton old boys dream.
Mapperleypie, if the Labour party acted as a party for the workers, and not like a bunch of virtue signalling clowns, they would have my tick in their box every time.
Corbyn was the great white hope, but was stabbed in the back by his party, and then screwed Labour's chances of power by going against the referendum result. He had my vote till then.
I can assure you I have lived most if not all of my life on the lowest pay/minimal wage, so just how bad are Labour for me not to feel able to vote for them. They have managed to try and make me feel bad about being a white man in the country of my birth. Until they change they will sadly never get my vote.
The only way Labour can lose the next general election is for Boris to go and someone comes in to unite the party and country. I have said it before Labours best chance of victory is to leave Boris in charge.
EP, I do admire bits of BJ, initially I found it refreshing to see a politician so keen to do things out out of his comfort zone, (zip wire, charity football, rugby game where he flattened the kid lol). Most politicians make you squirm with their PR photo opportunities, but BJ comes across as human.
He is delivering on Brexit, albeit slowly and in unprecedented times. Brexit was never going to be the sunlit uplands, or the disaster that project fear would have you believe, as the close referendum result hinted.
I don't agree with his/Carrie's green agenda,
Initially his reaction to Covid was to go with the herd immunity route ala Sweden, which was the right way in my opinion, but was obviously persuaded to follow the dodgy science guy Neil Ferguson, so was more than likely going against his instincts to enforce the lockdown. Which has since been proved to have caused much of the mess we are now in.
He has also shown great support for the Ukraine, which you could see how appreciated that was in his meetings with Zelensky.
Directly, apart from keeping Brexit evolving, I am not sure what he has done for me, but like I say we have been in stormy seas, not of his making.
Like I have said in earlier posts, I should be a Labour voter, but their policies have made this impossible.
I try to love my country, Labour not so much.
