I'd suggest there is more to it than 'just because he wants to promote from within'. And yes, all board members are involved. That doesn't mean they all necessarily want Courts. Just saying.

A lot of reports (and some punters) are harking back to the appointment of Oor Jum and how he was young and untried at the time of the appointment and basically obviously look how that all worked out. The flaw in that argument is that this is post Bosman 2021 not 1971 and Jim took over a well established 1st Division Club from Jerry Kerr that had sound financial and player foundations to build on. Right now that is simply not the case and there is the still the feeling that our current squad is vulnerable and is certainly not ‘established’ and needs a steady and experienced hand to steer the tiller right now while we do build up over the next season or two. Jim basically inherited a completely different set up that was ready for that sort of change. IMHO the Dundee United of 2021 currently is not. Not yet. Simple as that. Delboy for me please.
In the words of John Paul Jones.not the led zep bass player."He/those who will not risk cannot win".But what a f.....g risk.if it happens.:blue:
There were plenty McInnes rumours last night. Any more of them today?
The longer this goes on, the less likely Courts is our man imo.
Have DUSF raised any concerns regarding the possible appointment of tam. Or are they waiting in wings to see who is actually appointed before reacting?
