Because this has happened to the current champions and one of the elite then it will be talked about for ages. As we have both posted, i just want to see the same happen when it hits a player and a penalty is awarded, if not then it makes a mockery of handball in the area.Quote:

In the meantime the law needs to be applied with consistency as you say.
There was an incident in the first half of the Sheffield United v Palace game. The ball hit the elbow of Palace's Joel Ward, there was nothing given after a VAR check. Rightly or wrongly, it's not consistent, so far it seems it's only called handball when a goal is scored and then disallowed after the VAR check.
Sheffield United lead 1-0, Lundstram with the finish. They really should have scored earlier through McGoldrick, in fairness though the Palace keeper did well.
Blades much better than I thought coming in. I had them pegged for relegation. 4 points in two matches a great start for them.
