Just looking at goals to games ratio masks a hell of a lot of details. If you want a 1 in 2 goalscorer in the Championship over many seasons you're in cuckoo land, it will never happen for us. We should and no doubt will, assess players with far more in depth metrics than the simple ones you use.

We won’t as you know this guy is exactly the type we need to be after he’s only 22 so can improve he’s got experience of the Champ (unlike the disastrous signing of Hirst) and he’s scored a few not loads granted we’ve got to be competitive but we’ve also got to be careful when we’re throwing our money around
Unfortunately you're correct. Personally, I think he would be exactly the kind of player we could do with and would add something to the squad. Brentford gave him a contract last year until 2026, they don't get many players wrong. If he were to come in the door he would probably be the second best striker that we have, behind Smudge. Kind of moves we should be making. Probably won't even happen but if people really expect miracles on our budget then they are highly highly highly likely to be disappointed.Quote:
