There are quite a few local pubs tbh, not really keen on any of them & Chalkys right.. some are £4+ a pint.
There is a nice pub in Heywood called the Horse & Jockey (£2.50 a pint) but it’s a bit of a trek in a taxi.

Remember, 6 of our postponed games are being played this coming Tuesday and Wednesday so I’ll have another revised table up probably on Thursday. Bet you can’t wait.
Meanwhile, back at the coalface, there was some consistent good scoring from our eleven (yeah, I know) games this week. Average score was 8.7, but NZBlue managed a magnificent 13 including 3 correct scores. Nice one. Chalky will be asking everyone to laugh at himself as he bombed with a 5. Nobby’s 10 makes him the only significant mover this week, up two places to 6th, but half of the entrants achieved double figures which ain’t had bad. Well done to those six folk.
Howoldboy’s still a couple of week’s scoring ahead of the pack, but NZBlue is now in second and not giving up the chase. Still plenty of weeks left though so I’m not hearing the rotund female singing yet.
