Can’t offer any less than what I saw yesterday.

At least he puts a shift in..
A lack of crosses appear to be a mark of IB's tactics recently, perhaps it's due to having Wooton as the only forward likely to do anything with them. Or maybe he has more confidence in Roberts' and Rueben's abilities to thread through the middle having received the ball on the floor from midfield. Either way it doesn't seem to take long before a competent enemy manager adjusts his midfield and we slow down our approach. A lack of variation all over the field is apparent and we stumble against the more mobile teams.
I don't think our midfielders are robust enough to cope with the two-man midfield required of a 4-4-2. It worked ten years ago with Bishop and Ravenhill, and I think Palmer probably has enough defensively and offensively to cope, but I'd say the other contenders are too vulnerable defensively (Brunt, Vincent, Rodrigues) or too limited creatively (Francis) to make it work consistently. Every time we played a against a team with three men in midfield, I think we would risk being overrun in there.
My memory isn't that good to remember how they performed together in the first half dozen games over 20 years ago but I don't really see the connection to my comment.
Agree whether it's one or two changes up top it needs to be for a few games not just one. However I can imagine that if IB agreed with you and brought both in and collectively the underperformed they would get absolutely hammered on NCM, Facebook, Twitter etc.
