The thoroughly depressing thing is that in comparison to the other Tories around him he almost seems like an elder statesman.

That was my position too, until I started working with them. Perhaps I’ve just been unlucky but the overwhelming majority I’ve met, have had views that would make a hun blush.

Again I find myself agreeing with you. Hobson's choice in the extreme. But this is all part of Sturgeon's legacy. Nobody was allowed to shine or develop under her.. such a megalomaniac was she. Control freakery down to a fine art. And of course tied in with that is the vetting process only Yes Men and Women need apply. and the gerrymandering of the NEC.

The main reason we don't have Independence now is not the result.. But the kind of sh1te we had on display the other night. Unless this changes we will always struggle to win the argument.
