This season has been massive, for Warne, it was a case of proving why he was hired and he has done that. Next season is going to be a challenge, proving those that doubt he can hack it at championship level and whilst he can rely upon more resources than he had at Rotherham, it is unlikely to be massive spending compared to many other teams in the Championship.
He has already said that the team will have to be "ripped up", in effect he is starting again, though with a nucleus of players who have a track record in the higher division. With some a combination of good free transfers, some players bought and of course better quality loan players, he should be ato assemble a squad capable of mid table at least.
