Just remembered it was the Waterloo Arms in Dukes Road (by the old driving test place) The Northumberland was where the pros hung out.

What I don't understand Is why chose Derby Rd Southampton when Leigh Park or Paulsgrove Portsmouth would provide a much better indictment of broken Britain ?

I think the clue is in the title Fiddley...

I suspect Derby Roads tops it as there are so few immigrants in the PO areas due to such vile racism and attacks etc. At least on SO area they are allowed to settle and have lives, tolerant broad minded lot that we are.
